| Misty Poe Misty Poe grew up north of Holton and graduated from Jackson Heights High School. She went to Kansas State University for 2 years, before transferring to Washburn University and receiving a BA in Business Administration. After college, Mrs. Poe went to work at Payless Shoesource corporate headquarters in Topeka. She worked in many positions, and many areas of the company including distribution, merchandise planning (US and international), IT, e-commerce and even spent a year at the distribution center in Topeka. In 2018, Mrs. Poe left Payless and entered the Transition to Teaching program through Fort Hays, and started teaching business classes at Atchison County Community Schools. She started teaching in 2023 at Centralia, and is offering 6th grade keyboarding, 7th grade keyboard and computer technology, 8th grade business essentials, and high school accounting, business communications, and banking and finance. In addition to teaching, she is also assistant coach for junior high girls volleyball and basketball. Mrs. Poe is married to Mike Poe, and together they have the following children: Elijah, Michaela, Rebekah, Katie, Alyssa, Emily and husband Hunter, and Brandon and wife Logan.
