Michael Ulmer

Michael is a 1972 graduate of Nemaha Valley High School.  He earned his teaching credentials in 1978 at Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS.  Before joining USD 380 in 1990, Michael taught in two other Kansas school districts, and private schools in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. As of May, 2015, he will have taught at every grade level except Kindergarten and Second grade in his 35 year career.  Interaction with students—seeing the “lightbulb go on” when they “get it” is why he remains a classroom teacher. Michael's family of twelve children and twelve grandchildren keep wife Donna and him busy. Michael enjoys golf, gardening, woodworking and reading. Mr. Ulmer can be reached at ulmerm@usd380.com
