6: Presentation
You should be proud of all you’ve accomplished so far, but we’re not quite finished. Remember that by the end of the project you would be an expert at two or three careers but would also get the opportunity to hear about several more. You now get the chance to be the teacher as well as a student. Speaker Roles: You and your partners(s) should spend some time discussing how you will present your project. Use Worksheet #6 to help you plan your presentation. Each member should have some speaking time. The members who aren’t speaking could be the “pointers”, pointing things out on the poster as the speaker talks about them. Consider dressing in the “uniform” or customary clothing of your careers. It would not only add variety to the presentation, but it would also give us one more idea of what the job is like. Speakers should be heard from across the room. Listener Roles: When you are listening to a presentation, your goal is to gain information about more careers. Fill out Worksheet #7 as each group presents their careers. This will also give you a chance to help grade this part of the project.
